It's Christmastime!

Hanging out around the Christmas tree at Wesley's house in Southaven.

Cute Christmas sweaters!
Naked babies on cars.

Wesley gets ahead while Delia is not paying attention.
We brought the dogs on this trip and Buddy took a liking to the outdoor furniture. It was freezing that day.

Delia as a Santa in her school Christmas program.

Delia was not happy to be up on stage at first, but when they started the little songs they had practiced, she hammed it up and had a good time!

Bag Lady

Getting a family photo for our Christmas card has been very difficult this year. We are either going to send one from this summer or this one. Delia has a busted lip from running into the wall at day care. The wig is from her Raggedy Ann Halloween costume. She wouldn't wear it on Halloween, but loves it now.

Just a stop at the Pig

Delia and I made a quick run to Piggly Wiggly yesterday after work. It was COLD. Delia loves her pockets. She shoves her hands down in them and says "Pockets!"

There were tubs of free cookies at the deli counter! Delia told the lady behind the counter "Thank you!" about 12 times.

Decorating

We have a tree at the end of our driveway that was just begging to be decorated, so Delia and I did the ornaments and Grady put up the lights.

Delia helped me untangle the ornament hooks, unpack the ornaments,

and find a place on the tree.

"How are we going to get them all the way to the top?"

Delia loves it all lit up at night!

Gobble Gobble

This is a turkey that Delia made at school! It sits on our table and when you ask Delia what he says, she says "Gobble Gobble!"

While going over the river and through the woods to Grandma Dot's house in Yazoo City for Thanksgiving, Delia takes a break from her Pottery Barn Kids magazine. Dream on girl. The little pink play kitchen set in there costs more than all my kitchen appliances.

Grandma Dot has all kinds of interesting things to play with at her house.

We got to see Wesley there, which Delia had really been looking forward to.

"Let's grind something in this grinder!"

Grandma Amanda takes her babies riding on the Ranger!

Wesley: "Let's go! Let's go!"

Delia: "Let's go! Let's go!"

MawMart

Before Thanksgiving, Grandma 'Manda sent Delia some spending money, so we took her to "MawMart" as she calls it, and let her pick out whatever she wanted.

We started in the outdoor department with the bikes. I couldn't believe they had little 2-wheelers that (almost) fit little Delia!

Of course we had to try out a pink one.

Delia is getting more and more familiar with Santa Claus, as he is showing up everywhere. She calls him "Can Claus." I keep telling her that he is a nice guy, because we are invited to a Cookies with Santa party next week.

We went to the toy section and found some smaller tricycles that fit her better. We ended up getting this Radio Flyer trike, but not the helmet. Then we went to the baby doll aisle and Delia just kept saying, "Baby? Baby? Baby?"

We picked one out that had a lot of accessories, like a baby backpack, extra outfit, toy for the baby, and a baby bottle. Even though we left with armfuls of toys, we also had an armful of crying Delia because she wanted to get the baby OUT of the package and cried, "Open! Open!" all the way to the checkout and then all the way to the car. Here she is recovering and feeding Baby.
