Hi Daddy!

Since you are in Baton Rouge chasing the hurricane, I didn't want you to miss out on what I have been doing this weekend:
Saturday morning, I got up early and went for a stroll in my jammies with Mommy. It was nice and cool - 72 degrees! After breakfast we went downtown and made a quick appearance at the Farmer's market and I petted Brian Kelley's 120-lb. lab.

After that we strolled on down to Dandy Doodlez to finish some pottery that we started painting when Aunt Jennifer was here. Not really sure what I was supposed to do, so I took a nap.

Then we went to Kroger and got some groceries, and I got to ride in the cart for the first time without the baby carrier! Awesome!

Then I fell asleep in the car playing with my new favorite toys, my cups.

That night we went to Ryan and Brandy's house to watch my very first Mississippi State game! I pooped my first M-State outift, but luckily Mommy brought an extra.

Brandy showed me how to ring the cowbell!

I fell asleep in the third quarter and Mommy says she wished she had too.

This morning Mommy and I both woke up coughing pretty bad, so we didn't go to church because we didn't want to give our crud to the congregation and the nursery. But by this afternoon, I was so tired of my same old toys that we went next door to Neal and Shannon's pool and put our feet in.

My bathing suit didn't make it back from the Southaven trip, so I went naked! Weeee!

Sitting Up Everywhere

Big girl in her high chair! She likes every baby food we give her, whether it's squash, sweet potatoes, peas, bananas, or green beans. We have not tried meats yet - something about turkey in a jar is unsettling.

No teeth yet, but with all the drool that has been pouring out of that mouth, I don't think it will be much longer.

She likes sitting up and splashing in the tub after we've gotten her all clean, which takes less time than you'd think with all those cracks and crevices.

And she is big enough to sit up and ride facing forward in her stroller now without the car seat/carrier! Just in time, since 18 lbs of baby + 10 lb car seat/carrier = Mommy feeling like a pack mule.

7 Months Old

Delia turned 7 months old this Sunday! She is trying to talk and is babbling things like "dadadadadada." She is laughing at things that she thinks are funny, and grabbing for everything so she can put it in her mouth. Here are some pictures of how she is growing.

Back from Vacation

Grady and I went to the beach in Ft. Morgan, AL with friends last week and Grandma Amanda kept Delia for FIVE days!! It was my first night ever away from Delia! Delia got to visit with Jennifer, Wes, and Wesley in Southaven, AND all of her Nolan cousins in Little Rock! Hopefully we will have some pictures to share soon. Delia came home with one toy that I don't think belongs to her...

"To Wesley: I am holding Mr. Worm hostage until I get some of my color changing spoons back."

Weekend with Wesley

Just when you think the blog couldn't get any cuter... this weekend Wes, Jennifer and little Wesley came to visit! When Delia was born, they were some of our first visitors.

"Stop touching me."

"Look how big we are now!"

Jenn and I went to a paint-your-own-pottery studio and stamped the babies' feet on some stuff! The owner helped us and we were so grateful. The babies both did great.

Wesley got hot and had to take his clothes off.

"Are we done yet?"

Grandma Amanda sent Delia and Wesley matching outfits for this weekend, so we had a fun outdoor photo shoot! The babies weren't that interested, so the mommies and daddies had to jump around, clap, whistle, and squeal to get their attention. Delia kept her arm out like she has been for days now, either waving or making a turn signal - we're not sure. And Wesley showed us how many ways he can smile open-mouthed!

"Hello? Baby Gap? Sorry, we're booked today."

Later that afternoon we took a picnic and went swimming at our neighbor's pool again. The babies got to float and splash around, and both ended up taking naps in the shade.
