My parents came to visit this weekend on their way to evaluate some water damage to their house in Vicksburg. Ironically, while they were here, a pipe under our kitchen sink came apart and leaked water everywhere. On to more fun things...

In Other News...
So... the world has kept on turning while we have been getting acquainted with parenthood. Here are some fun pics of something besides Delia.
This is my friend Erica Reid! We grew up together in Vicksburg and our families have been friends forever. Her dream was to move to Chicago and perform. So she did it! She does improv and is awesome. This is a picture of her with a giant banner advertising her DADA show. She owns that city!
This is my uncle Clyde and his wife Lizzy, with their daughter Emma and the twins, George and Harry. They live in New Orleans and take a family portrait every year at Mardi Gras. Awesome!
Snoop Dogg came to Starkville in February. Apparently he has family in Mississippi and is planning on performing at more small venues like Rick's.
Super Bulldog Weekend is this weekend. It is like Homecoming for baseball, and there is just as much emphasis on grilling food as there is on baseball. Starkville fills up with people and the baseball field is always packed. It is usually a great time, but this weekend it is supposed to rain, our team is not that good, and our coach just announced he is resigning. But Mama and Daddy are coming to visit, so we'll have a good time no matter what we decide to do. Here is a picture of the Great Outfield Deck Collapse of Super Bulldog Weekend 2006.

On the Way Home...
As you can see, Delia bounces back from her team's loss very quickly. Here she is smiling at the infant mirror in the back seat that looks like a monkey.
Well, as Grady said, Delia just experienced her first of many disappointments in Mississippi State sports. All in all, it was a great trip and we got to see some good basketball. State beat Oregon in the first round of the tournament, so we stayed to see them play in the second round on Sunday. State was thisclose to tying it up with Memphis with a 3-pointer at the buzzer, but we missed the shot. Now we are on the way home and thanks to Grady's fancy pants wireless internet card, I am uploading pictures in the car on the interstate! Pretty cool! This will definitely make the 5-hour trip go by a little faster.
Since the Nolans were going to live it up in Branson this weekend, we left Thursday night so we could visit with them that evening and Friday morning. Delia got to meet her cousins Emily, Regan, and Aubrey, who stayed up late to see us when we arrived. About 80% of Delia's clothes are adorable hand-me-downs from these sweet girls!

2 Months Old
Little piggies!!One of our favorite things is watching Delia wake up in the mornings. Partly because that means she slept so long that we have to wake her up to eat, and partly because she is so funny when she is waking up. She squirms, stretches, and rubs her eyes just like anyone else!

Spring in Starkville
So much for the snow! We have had highs in the 70s this week and have been able to take Delia out in her stroller most afternoons after work. Grady tried out the Baby Bjorn that the Nolans gave us and Delia really likes it. Thanks!!
Delia is really starting to notice objects and sounds and can follow them by turning her head (genius!!). Here she is, 8 weeks old, playing on her Boppy playmat, a gift from Uncle Gerald and Aunt Sarah. Thank you!

Snow in Starkville
It snowed here last Saturday! My personal weatherman told me that the snow was "10 minutes away" just before midnight, so we stayed up and went outside to see it. I think it has been about 7 years since we have lived anywhere that got snow, because it snowed in Georgia the year we got married. We had our our 7-Year Anniversary last week on March 3!

Delia Goes to Work

I have taken Delia to the office a few afternoons this week so I can get caught up at work and she has done great. Most of the time she sleeps. Sometimes she sits in her aquarium bouncer seat and listens to the bubbling sounds it makes until she drifts off to sleep (again). My designer Darcy says the bubbles put her to sleep too. Delia went to her first meeting today! It was a laid-back afternoon meeting of the Starkville Downtown Business Association. It was held at a new cafe downtown, which is right around the corner from our office, so we loaded up in the stroller and rolled on down there. Everyone oohed and gooed over her. I'm sure she would have enjoyed it - if she'd been awake. This girl can sleep!!

6 Weeks Old and Sleepy

Grandmas Grandmas Everywhere!

Last weekend was Delia's first road trip. We loaded her and the dogs up and headed to Vicksburg. Thanks to an insulated bottle bag, we were able to give Delia a warm bottle on the road and didn't have to stop to feed her. We had dinner in Jackson with our friends Bryan and Christine. They have a yellow lab, Pedro, and a new black lab puppy, Chief, who is Buddy's brother. So Buddy and Miller got to stretch their legs after their 2-hr ride and all the dogs ran wild in the back yard while we visited and ate. After yummy steak kabobs, we loaded everyone back up and went to Vicksburg for the night. We stayed with Grady's mom Amanda, as did Jennifer and Baby Wesley!

On Saturday, we went to see my grandmothers and they got to meet Delia for the first time. She slept most of the time and was deemed "a goooood baby."
