September!
Rock and Roll
We (just Grady and Melissa) saw 3 shows this summer, with 2 in 2 nights! In July we saw Steve Earle and Allison Moorer at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, which was fantastic. They sold little buckets of drinks, fancy plates of cheese, and everyone sat in the grass in their short lawn chairs. It was a crazy cool night making for an awesome experience. In August, we followed My Morning Jacket and Neko Case for 2 nights. The first show was in Tuscaloosa, only an hour and 15 min. from us.
Tuscaloosa Show
Tuscaloosa ShowIn Atlanta, we found a restaurant called 5 Seasons that was really cool. Most everything on the menu was fresh and local, and they brewed their own beer.

August: The Beach!
We've rented a house in Fort Morgan, AL the past 5 years. This was the first year with 2 kids!
Here's Delia while we waited on the Dauphin Island ferry. Hamming it up!

Brooks' first trip to the beach!
Delia is so fair skinned, it is a full time job keeping her from getting sunburned. The shirt bathing suits are great, and she brought her cowgirl hat.
This girl does crazy things when the camera turns her way.
Here's the view of our neighborhood from the beach.
This is the view from our balcony. It was just a short walk to the beach each day.
Brooks loved the toys, the sand, everything.

Our friends Bryan and Christine brought their baby girl Blaine and the babies were great playmates. One rainy day we just played inside with some mixing bowls!

Happy boy right before we noticed that his swim diaper had leaked poop on this blue leather couch. Oops.

Got some good ones of our kiddos too!
We went out to eat at Tacky Jack's for birthday dinner!
"Blaine, isn't this fun??"
Photo taken behind the restaurant - with the gigantic new phone!
