My Baby Can Read...and giggle
If you have ever seen those stupid infomercials for the "Your Baby Can Read" program, then you know the reference above. Delia can now "read" an entire book. Actually, she has memorized the book like most kids do, but she did memorize some pretty difficult animal names.
Ok, she may struggle with a couple, but skunks do stunk.
Brooks may learn to read one day, but he is a boy and he currently loves toilet humor. Melissa was convinced that he loved for her to zrbtt his belly because he would laugh so much. Turns out that he just likes the fart sounds.
"Why doesn't anybody laugh when I make those sounds?"

Brooks' First Baseball Game
Little man is 16 weeks old, smiling, laughing, cooing, and enjoying MSU baseball.
Dudy Noble Field is famous for its Left Field Lounge, which is full of homemade grandstands made out of old pick up trucks, plywood, old bus seats, and the like. We were invited to our friends' (the Henrys) family's spot Friday afternoon for burgers and baseball.Monday, March 7, 2011
Things Delia Says

Delia: "Look! The Poo P S man!" (Well, he does drive a big brown truck.)
Mama: "Thank you Delia! You're a good helper!"
D: "And you're a good mama!"
Delia, after singing a song: "I songed it all the way through!"
Mama: "Delia, I am having a party at our house tonight."
D: "Are you going to be 3?"
Daddy: "Do you want to wear your brown shoes today?"
D: "Daddy. I ALWAYS like pink best."

Just a Swingin' - 12 weeks
Brooks loves his swing. It has little birds and butterflies that circle around, and there is a big mirror right above his head where he can see himself.
Sometimes he watches himself very intently.
Happy boy! This week I started adding 1 oz of formula "For Fussy and Gassy Babies" to each of Brook's bottles and he seems to be much more content. Maybe a coincidence, but it has been a very noticeable change. He is happy just to sit and look around during his "wake time," whereas before he would fuss. Hooray for happy babies!Wednesday, February 16, 2011
11 Weeks
Grady says that babies have a survival mechanism in that just about the time you get ready to throw them out the window, they give you a big smile as a reward for those tough first weeks.

Muddy Feet Photography
Our friend and kin Erin Dixon has recently gone pro at photography. And she is GOOD. She offered to do Brooks' newborn pictures for us as a baby gift. Erin stressed that we had to do it very soon after he was born "so that he'll sleep through all the things we are going to do to him." I think he was less than 2 weeks old when she took these.
I have been keeping the pictures under wraps because I hope to turn one of them into Brooks' announcement soon. But he may be 4 yrs old before it ever goes out, so I wanted to go ahead and share the preciousness. Amanda Hes is a turkey (and supermom) for having a baby after me and getting her announcements out before me.I know Erin can't keep the gallery up forever, so I am posting some of my favorites here. If you would like to see them all, which I high recommend, visit the Gallery and log in with password: bdixon. Enjoy!

We are so grateful Erin shared her talents with us! These pictures are absolutely priceless to me. Muddy Feet Photography is based in Clinton and you can see more of Erin's work here: http://muddyfeetphoto.blogspot.com/
