Push ups! Brooks is 8 months old here. He had not been interested in crawling, so we were pretty excited when he started pushing up.

We went to cousin Dea's wedding in Jackson!

Brooks loves Sister!

Delia loves all things princess and fairy tale. She was mesmerized by the princess aspect of the wedding and wanted to pose with "the princess" afterward. During the ceremony, she whispered "When is she going to turn into a princess?" I said "No, baby, she's a princess NOW. After she says 'I do,' she turns into a witch." Hardy har.

Brooks and his Pappaw!

More push ups.

Need a break...

...back up!

We also had a Princess Tea Party at our house. Delia had been asking for her friends to come over, so we decided to have a lunch/tea party/play date for the girls in her class. The best part about the party (for me) was that there was no pressure to open presents, cut the cake, get birthday pictures, etc. We just had fun!

Can't have a princess party without pink cupcakes with sparkly sprinkles.

First, we decorated some glittery crowns with stickers. Several of the girls came dressed in their princess dresses!

Then we had a lunch of ham and cheese sandwiches, grapes, and baby carrots.

Then on to the playground!

What's more fun than scooping and pouring gravel?

This is Maddie, Amelia, and Abby.

Here's Ella, a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty.

Amelia's little sister Charlotte also got in on the fun!

Carey Beth is a sweet new friend from class.

Wheeee!

Grady wore a pink t-shirt for the occasion, and Brooks even had some pink on his bib. Brooks has many pink hand-me-downs: bibs, washcloths, bath toys, etc.

Even Amelia's dad John sported a little pink.

The grand finale: CUPCAKES!

Yum Yum!

Princesses and fairies chowing down.

More push ups!

"Hey Mama!"

These 3 pictures are a good example of why you need kid cooperation.

Great lighting, cute pose, one cooperative kid...

and one baby boy who was past his nap time.

After a hard day of playing, Delia asked for some goldfish crackers in a cup. After some whining, then mumbling, everything got quiet. I walked in and found this. Passed out. In the goldfish.
