November Part 3: Brook's First Birthday!

I went to a friend's son's first birthday a few weeks ago and it was over the top. It looked like the mom had prepared for 2 weeks. Everything was coordinated and adorable. There was a theme and everything fit into the theme, down to the tags on the take-away snacks. There were pictures of the birthday boy each month from birth to 12 months. Brooks' party was not like that, because November was a crazy time. I was getting the office ready for our 2 week trip out of the country (during our biggest work project of the year), we went to 2 Thanksgivings in 2 weekends - again, it was a crazy time. Brooks' first birthday was a small family gathering with his sweet sister, grandparents, cousins, a chocolate cake, snacks, and presents. Just perfect for us. By the way, I didn't make that cake.

One of Brooks' favorite presents was a drum. No lights, no sound effects, no batteries, just a drum to beat on because he LOVES to beat on stuff.

Look at that talent! He's already got trick moves!

Sister helped sing Happy Birthday, then helped blow out the candle.

It was a fun day! Happy Birthday Baby Boy!
