First Game of the Season

Delia and Wesley went to their first football game and loved it! We beat Memphis 49-7!

This was taken at the Downtown Block Party the night before the game. There was food and music and the kids danced and danced.

Delia confiscated her friend's baby doll at the tailgate. And she looks so innocent.

Jenn and Baby Cameron! They did not stay for the game, but did get to enjoy the tailgate.

Sweet big brother!

Delia being silly. Woo! Who's that big lady??

Delia has always liked ringing a cowbell, but she had a lot of company at this game.

Checking out the replay on the JumboTron (largest video display in the SEC thank you very much.)

"No way Ref!"

Snacks.

The next day we went to lunch at Ptolemy's. They have good sandwiches, as well as the largest beer selection in the Golden Triangle area. In this picture, Delia was saying "CHEEEEESE!", which is always immediately followed by "Lemme see!" to see the digital picture in the camera/phone.

Lunch ran into nap time. Here's Wesley's first time to be passed out in a bar. Next game: Thursday against Auburn!

BIG big girl bed

In order to keep our house guest-friendly, we have moved our guest bed into Delia's room, and turned the guest room into a nursery. Then Delia just sleeps in our room when we have company in town. To make the transition more fun, Grandma 'Manda sent some spending money for new bedding and accessories! Target, here we come!

Jennifer helped me pick everything out, and I put it all up in Delia's room while she was playing outside. We still need to hang the canvas panels and put up the wall decals, but it's already super cute.

Delia LOVES it all.

She kept bouncing on the bed saying "My owls! My owls!"

Thank you Grandma 'Manda!

Fashion Show

Delia was asked to be in a fashion show called Bully Babies last month, and I am just now rounding up the pictures. The company is Kate Rees and they specialize in monogrammed clothing, bags, etc.

Every child had a helper from MSU's Tri-Delta sorority, just in case. Delia's helper was Megan and she was great.

The first time down the runway Delia looked pretty scared. Fingers in mouth.

Uh oh - I thought she was going to bail out when she saw me waving to her.

By the second outfit, she was having fun.

Fingers still in mouth though.

And we got to keep both outfits and the MSU hair bows!

A lot of our friends were there including Caroline,

Baby Molly Kate, who may have been asleep,

our friend Klancie's FOUR boys (the first 3 are triplets, the last one Parker, came 10 months after the triplets)

and Klancie's daughter Tanner - workin' it!

Bully came out for a surprise appearance! I was glad Delia didn't notice him on the stage behind her (next picture), or she really would have jumped off.

At the end of the show, all the kids got little cowbells and were then turned loose on the cupcakes and balloons waiting outside.

That's a lot of helpers and babies!

Our Vicksburg friends Amanda and Greg were in town for Mina's gymnastics meet, so they (and Macy!) met us for the end of the fashion show. We went downstairs to the Student Union's food court to get Chik-Fil-A ice cream to go along with our cupcakes!

Yum yum.

Sometimes Delia and I play a game where we look at each other and try to keep a straight face.

It cracks us up.

Every time.

"That's good stuff right there!"

Macy: Mmmmm MMM!

Mina, gymnastics queen!

Hooray for cupcakes and ice cream and girlfriends!

All decked out, a perfect time to get a picture with the bulldog!

Amanda and Greg are Ole Miss fans, sooooo GO DAWGS!!! from your girls!

Just Hanging Around

Here is Delia getting into my closet and trying on my shoes. Since I last updated the blog, she turned 15. She is so tall! Where is my baby??

I love these Payless shoes and have not seen them since this day... hmmm...

She found these red ones to go with her little red broom.

"Mama, can I sweep?" YES, my baby.

Here we are making biscuits. Delia is showing her flour-covered fingers.

She is a giant girl!! How can she be 2 and be so big??

Learning About Nepal

If you really want some interesting reading, check out our friends Mike and Karyn's blog that tells the details of how they are adopting a little boy in Kathmandu, Nepal. The U.S. rules changed while there were there, so they are pretty stressed out and everything is delayed.

Yes, their last name is Brown.

Random stuff

Top 10 reasons I haven't blogged in a month:

1. 100 degrees really wipes you out when you are a human incubator. It's all I can do to get leftovers on the table every night.

2. I'm too tired to come up with any more. Here are some really random pictures.

From our last visit to Southaven - Delia loved Wesley's bubble machine.

No bubbles made it into this picture, so we call it Delia's "Praise Jesus" picture.

After our trip to the Botanic Gardens, Wesley passed out at lunch. This pic was in my phone so it didn't get included in that post.

Haircut #2! Delia did great.

The kiddie drape still had her fish stickers on it from her first haircut!

Woo! Lookin' good!

And she got a sucker for being good!

This is the only picture I got from our friend Bryan and Christine's baby shower. I did the desserts! Lemon cake mix cookies, rocky road bars, and (store bought) cream puffs.

And this is the only picture I got from Christmas in July - I think. Face painting with stamps! It was too hot to stay very long... the story of so many events this summer.
