This Saturday, we caravaned with some friends to a pumpkin patch in Caledonia, about 40 minutes away. It was unseasonably hot this weekend, so we didn't stay very long. A hayride in full sun when it is 90 degrees is not as fun as if it were, say, 60 degrees, so we skipped that.

We did have fun picking out pumpkins, squash, and gourds of all shapes and sizes.

Delia's plan was to get "a Mama pumpkin, a Daddy pumpkin, and a baby pumpkin. And one for Baby Brooks." She started out with this one, which was just her size.

You can tell how long we have been without rain by the brown crunchy grass!

Delia's friend Landon!

Another friend, William, a.k.a. The Hulk.

This wagon proved to be too heavy, and soon Delia joined this big daddy pumpkin in the wagon.

There was a cotton patch too! Delia patted this little cotton boll like it was a bunny.

Check it out!

Look out! More cotton - and lots of it - with no one else around!

It's just like jumping on the bed!

Wheee!

As much fun as those inflatable jumpers - but all natural!

Just like a sandbox, but it's CORN!

Delia was having fun until a bunch of boys started running and yelling and dumping corn on each other. Then she got nervous and was ready to go.
